Mission statement:
The Royal Lao Veterans of America will mobilize all Lao veterans and their family members in order to honor their sacrifice and service rendered to the native land and to foster their sense of pride, loyalty and patriotism in the new homeland; and strive to advance their livelihood by promoting education, self reliance, productivity and good citizenry.
Vision statement:
The Royal Lao Veterans of America will unite all Lao veterans in order to protect the rights of its members and to achieve progress in all aspects of their life.

Each year Lao American veterans of the United States take pride in celebrating the Royal Lao Armed Forces Day to honor those soldiers who sacrificed their lives as well as to express our profound gratitude to those who put themselves in the line of fire in defending freedom and democracy during the “Secret War” of Laos in 1960’s and 1970’s.
